Fuel Cell Controls


The Recon DA High Power Fuel Cell Controller provides an effective base for either a field installed fuel cell system or an in lab test system.

The controller manages stoichiometric air flow, hydrogen purging, air purging, and cooling. The controller also has an analog voltage output for system power output conditioning control or for load bank control in a test setup. The controller can monitor a stack's current either with a current shunt or Reconís Hall Effect Current Transducer.

The controller interfaces to Reconís controller software for system variable viewing, control parameter setup, and harddrive data logging. Optionally the controller can interface to Reconís Fuel Cell Profiler software to provide individual cell performance data across the tested fuel cells full current range. The Profiler software can also be used to setup and run a cuurent or power load profile when the controller is interfaced to an external electronic load bank.

High current digital outputs interface to solid state relays for any combination of DC or AC, high voltage or high current output device control with electrical isolation. Outputs can also interface to Reconís high power isolated motor controller.

The controller also interfaces to the Recon DA line of in field data logging, display, and communications interface devices.

    General Use: 0-400V, 0-5V, or 4-20mA

  • Analog: 0 to 5V or 0 to 10V, 12 bit
  • Digital PWM: 1x 100Hz, 8 bit
  • Digital ON/OFF:
  • 2x isolated signal outputs, 50 mA, 0 to 24V
    6x isolated with solid state relays
    3x ground referenced outputs, 2A, 0 to 30V
